As a result, we can conclude that transformations in the post-convertibility era were markedly biased towards national banking, which managed to recover part of the market share it had lost during the 1990s, both in terms of the number of institutions, and the incidence of assets, loans and total deposits as a portion of the financial banking system (Figures 4, 5, 6 and 7).
